The Liechty Acting Technique

Acting isn't about
leading with emotion.
It's about playing actions.

Emotion follows. If you want grounded, nuanced, real performances, this is where it starts. We train professional actors — and the actor ready to scale to professionalism — to do the real work: the internal mindset work and the external technique work. Both matter.

The Story

Julie-Anne
Liechty

Creator of AIAC & the Liechty Acting Technique

Julie-Anne Liechty, founder of AIAC

From NYC actress to conservatory creator — Julie-Anne built AIAC to give actors the training she wished she'd had.

"Acting isn't about leading with emotion — it's about playing actions. Emotion follows." That single principle became the Liechty Acting Technique: a grounded, rigorous approach forged on New York stages and refined over years of teaching professional actors.

The result is a conservatory built for the actor who wants to up their bookings — and the actor, new or returning, who wants to scale to real professionalism. Comparable programs in LA or NYC can cost $400–$600 a month, or over $200,000 at a four-year university conservatory. Julie-Anne went to one. She built something better, and made it accessible.

"AIAC is the accessible Juilliard."

I've taken a lot of acting classes but they're all just watered down versions of what Julie-Anne teaches.

This is insane! I've never worked so hard, had so much fun and improved so quickly. JAL is basically a starwright.

The Call-Sheet

Is AIAC's training right for you?

Our training is for you if…

  • You want to become a professional actor.
  • You're exploring whether a professional acting career is right for you — and you're ready to find out.
  • You're already a professional actor and want to start booking a lot more.
  • You've been on hiatus from your acting career and want another go.
  • You're ready and able to invest in your career — time, money, and energy.
  • You're committed to personal and artistic growth, not just chasing bookings.
  • You've had the itch to act for as long as you can remember — and you can't ignore it.
  • You're willing to do the internal mindset work and the external technique work.
  • You value community and understand great actors don't train in isolation.
  • You're coachable — you want honest feedback and are ready to use it.
  • You're looking for real tools, not just encouragement or hype.
  • You respect the craft and want to be taken seriously by industry professionals.

Our training is not for you if…

  • You just want to try it once to see if it's fun — without putting in the work.
  • You're not willing to invest financially in your growth as an actor.
  • You're looking for a social club, not a training ground.
  • You think talent alone is enough to make it in this industry.
  • You don't like getting feedback or being challenged.
  • You expect fast results without consistent effort.
  • You want to learn lines and perform but aren't interested in deeper technique.
  • You're not willing to show up weekly, on time, with your work prepared.
  • You think training is optional once you start booking work.
  • You aren't willing to support others or be part of an actor community.

Current class tuition is $259/month. Expect 6–12 months of consistent training to make real, professional progress. Comparable programs in LA or NYC can cost $400–$600/month — or over $200,000 at a four-year university conservatory. Julie-Anne went to one.
